Hello, at the moment, I’ve been reaching out to some people I want to try and talk with for career research. I want to get some insight on the career I want to follow, especially those who have made it in the industry and succeeded in their goals. I didn’t get to send out most of what I would want in week time due to the projects I had to work on throughout the week.
However, terms of the people I sent out messages to, I reached to one person who I thought would be a good option in regards of working with the BTS process, Jonathan Aibel. He’s not necessarily a pick amongst the creative directors, but he’s helped co-direct and screenplay write for films associated with DreamWorks, and I have met him before and know his work. He would be an interesting person to engage in learning the behind-the-scenes work and what demands people in studio would want or have control over. I’ve currently emailed him to see if he wants to possibly meet up some point soon, anything within his schedule. I’m still awaiting for a response, but from the last time I’ve contacted him, it usually took a few business days or the week after. (Expecting Reply)
As for others, here are the picks I’m trying to get for similar or other reasons:
Sam Register: Cartoon Network, Warner Bros. Animation president, Hanna-Barbera President – No reply yet
Ian Jones-Quartey: Worked for CNS as Executive Producer, specifically O.K K.O! Let’s Be Heroes! and co-developed Steven Universe with Rebecca Sugar. Has talked with Disney recently, so there may be a chance he won’t reply, who knows. (No reply yet, sent Thursday)
Genndy Tartakosvky: Incredibly ambitious creative producer, has worked on many famous shows (1990s-2020s), like Primal. I have sent it pretty recently so I won’t expect a response until later.
Dana Terrace: Worked with Disney as an executive producer for The Owl House, and she is currently working with GLITCH Studios on a new indie project announced recently. I sent out the memo earlier today due to scheduling and what I hope is to get a Wednesday or Thursday meetup mostly online. However, there is a possibility I may not get a reply due to her co-developing with the indie studio for their next project.
